Asnowbound Philadelphia meant that a bride and groom weren’t able to leave the Ritz-Carlton to get to their wedding venue. Incredibly, with a mere four hours’ notice, the hotel organised a full-scale wedding, on site, for the guests – complete with personalised menu, cake, lighting, flowers, photographer and eight-piece band. It’s a jaw-dropping piece of teamwork by the Ladies and Gentlemen that more than does justice to the grandiose environs of the Philadelphia Ritz-Carlton, a neoclassical beauty hewn from 9,000 tonnes of Georgian marble.

A history of service

Situated a few minutes’ walk from Philadelphia landmarks such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Square, the standards of service here take guests back to an earlier age of personal touches. Let the team guide you from the newly refurbished guest rooms and suites to the inventive flavours created by chef Richard Sandoval in his Latin-themed in-house restaurant, Aqimero, to the warmed-stone massages and honey hydration wraps on offer in the luxurious Richard D’Ambra salon and spa.
